Shelley signs ensures all our customers peace of mind by not out sourcing any of our work, all our work is done in house using our specialist equipment. One such piece of equipment is our Mimaki JF1631 wide format printer; We are fortunate enough to have a local company nearby by the name of Signmaster Ltd to provide us with this state of the art printer directly from the main dealers Hybrid of Crewe.
As specialists in the design and production of wide ranges of interpretive signs, panels and boards for a large range of clients requiring signs for town centres, parks and even nature reserves, we rely heavily that the equipment we use is not only the latest available but the best possible piece of equipment for the job in hand.
There are many different positive reasons why we have chosen the Mimaki JF1631 wide format printer. The printer is not only cost effective enabling us to keep our prices to a minimum for our clients, but it is one of the most proficient environmentally friendly printers available on the current market. There are no depleting Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) released into the atmosphere, this is because the Mimaki JF1631 printer uses inks that are not cured with UV, this means that no solvents are involved in the printing process, ensuring it has a low impact on the ozone.
Solvent printers constantly require the heads to be washed free from ink, as the MimakiJF1631 is a digital printer there is no waste ink, the printer also prints directly onto the surface of the interpretive sign this process does not require paper, self adhesive vinyl or any other base material. By using this particular variety of printer we reduce the level of wastage that occurs with many other printers.
This type of printing process is especially popular with all our clients who require interpretive signs for nature reserves and parks, as any company that has minimal effects on the environment is at the top of their list of suppliers. Shelley Signs not only take pride in our work but we take pride in the environment and our customers beliefs.
We produce hardy outdoor interpretive signs that are resilient to the many forces, both nature and human. Our signs can easily be cleaned free of graffiti and also dirt and grime produced from the environment. Once we have printed directly onto the surface of the sign, the complete unit is encapsulated into resin, this process produces a tough surface that can withstand many acts of vandalism and its surrounding environment, whilst our finishing techniques lock all the colour into the sign not allowing the colour to fade or any breakdown and chalking of the ink.
