Notice Boards
Notice Boards are also known as Display Cases, these types of interpretive signs can be lockable if required. Notice Boards are used to display information, the information displayed can be changeable by the organisation. At Shelley Signs we provide a number of Notice Boards to Schools and Colleges as they find these particular types of Display Cases useful to present their trophies and awards, being that they are resilient to a number of poor weather conditions. Many companies will purchase Display Cases as they provide them with a place to display advertising whilst at the same time being protected against the elements, some companies will also use these to display their products within their premises.
 
Notice Boards and Display Cases can be just hinged to allow anyone to access them or they can be hinged and lockable only allowing restricted access to those who have the authority. We do also provide Pin Notice Boards upon request these are popular with Schools, Colleges and Companies that wish to allow anyone access to post a notice on the board ,and remove them at any time which can be useful when a client would like to post leaflets on the board that are allowed to be taken by anyone.
 
Our most popular lockable Display Case comes complete with a glazed shatter proof polycarbonate front and pin board backers. When requested we can change the backing of the Display Case to one that is supplied with steel or tin backers instead of a pin board, this will allow magnetic strips to hold display information.
 
Shelley Signs can provide a wide range of Notice Boards from a variety of materials. One of our more popular choices is aluminium, our clients can choose to either leave the board unpainted or have it produced with an anodised finish or powder coated in a colour of their choice. We also manufacture Display Cases in timber, the most common choices by our clients are a pressure treated softwood notice boards and Oak notice boards and display cases. Oak is slightly more expensive although those produced in Oak offer our clients durability and a stylish attractive finish. Pressure treated softwood is obviously slightly cheaper but because it is of a cheaper material the overall finish is not to the same high standard as Oak.
 
Our lockable notice boards and display cases are more popular than the unlock-able variety but it does mean that ultimately someone has to take the responsibility of having the key and ensuring that the case is secure at all times. Notice boards that do not have a lock take away this responsibility whilst still providing a display case that is protecting its contents against the elements. Having a display case of this type, does mean that nothing of any particular value that is to be put on public display should be placed in here, as there is always the threat that it could be stolen.
