Design
We are happy to work with your own in-house or local designers, or, you can employ our own Shelley Signs design team.
- With you own designers you would normally submit high resolution, print quality PDFs from which Shelley will paper proofs before the final print.
- If using our in-house design team most clients provide final text and various component parts. AS well as the overall design & layout Shelley can create and design illustrations, both natural history and archaeological, and can create the artwork for maps of all levels of complexity.
Materials
As well as a wide range of materials for internal applications Shelley specialise in producing tough, robust graphics for outdoor use. We print and finish in-house so really understand the process – and offer materials have evolved and been developed to meet the opportunities offered by modern print techniques.
Using a Mimaki wide format printer we are able to offer great print quality, bright vibrant graphics and excellent colour fastness. Allied with our GRP encapsulation processes we can produce tough and robust external graphics that will withstand both the weather and the attentions of your visitors.
While GRP offers a great solution for challenging environments it can be over-engineered for some applications. We also work with a wide variety of banners, canvas prints, Dibond, Polycarbonate, acrylics and PVCs to be able to match material with locations. Many of these materials are also suitable for internal use.
The choice of material and print options can be a little bewildering! Robert Shelley is more than happy to chat through the options or to meet up and explore your requirements in more detail.
Framing
We offer a wide range of options ranging from lectern frames, vertical post mounted structures to wall mounted signs and specially designed mountings. Materials include oak, pressure treated softwood, galvanised and powder coated mild steel and stainless steel as well as recycled plastic.
